A man making a delivery in Kildare Town had his wallet and mobile phone stolen last week.
The belongings were taken from the top of the dashboard of the unoccupied vehicle.
Kildare Gardai are investigating the incident.
Gardai also issued a general warning about people leaving possessions in parked cars while they go shopping or walking.
