The heavy showers of rain are due to continue into the weekend as the weather forecast looks pretty bleak.
The rain will persist late into this evening but it should clear as nightfall approaches. That will lead to a generally dry night and temperatures will range from 2 to 6 degrees. Winds will be moderate to light in a southwesterly direction.
Tomorrow morning will begin mostly cloudy and dry, but rain will soon spread across the country from western areas. That will lead to a rather unpleasant day of heavy showers, with winds due to be relatively light again. Highest temperatures tomorrow will reach 9-11 degrees.
