A man who was stopped at a Garda Checkpoint was found to have a pint glass of stout beside his gear stick.
The Checkpoint was mounted by Meath Roads Policing checkpoint on Thursday night.
The Checkpoint was on the R132 at Gormanstown.
Gardai said: "It took drink driving to another level. Pint glass found beside driver's seat."
An 8-pack of cans of stout was left on the passenger seat.
The man was arrested and later charged and will appear at Drogheda District Court.
