A man shot dead in North Kildare last night is reported to have had links with the Hutch family.
At a quiet estate in Leixlip last night, Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene.
A man in his forties named locally as Clive Staunton died at the scene.
Glen Easton Residents said on social media: "As always, residents, please, if anyone notices any suspicious vans or cars acting suspiciously around the area, note the reference number and pass on to Leixlip Gardaí."
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Glen Easton Estate yesterday evening between 8.30pm and 9.30pm to contact them at Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800.
