A Naas man appeared before the Distict Court in connection to a charge of being threatening and abusive in public.
The 37-year-old man was charged with being threatening, abusive and insulting, and failing to comply with the direction of Gardaí, at Fairgreen St, Naas, on December 3, 2016.
Sgt Brian Jacob said that the accused had been told to leave One New Row in Naas and when refused entry by the doorstopper, he became aggressive.
Defence Solicitor, Conal Boyce, said: "I don't know why he kept trying to get in, when the doorstopper was not letting him in, he is very apologetic."
The court heard how after the incident he spent a couple of hours in the cell.
Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed a Section 1(1)a.
