Kildare will be hit by plenty of  rain throughout today as the miserable weather looks likely to continue.

Rain across the west and northwest will be heavy at times tomorrow morning with the rain gradually extending to most other areas through the day; a clearance will follow into Ulster and Connacht later in the evening. Highs of 14-18 degrees (mildest and generally driest across Leinster and east Munster). Moderate southwesterly winds will veer northwest as the rain clears.

Rain will linger over much of Leinster and Munster on Thursday night but other parts of the country will be largely dry. It will turn cold in the north with lowest temperatures there of 3 or 4 degrees, it will be less cold further south with temperatures there more likely to be between 5 and 7 degrees.
