A pensioner appeared before Naas District Court in connection to charges under the Sex Offences Act.
He is charged with four counts of sexual assault, between August and September, 2016, on a female child.
Judge Desmond Zaidan has imposed reporting restrictions.
The accused has been ordered to appear again before Naas District Court on October 11, next, for mention.
