Wicklow woman Katie Taylor is not just a roaring success in the ring, she is also striking gold on the business front too.
The Bray native's firm, KT Sports Ltd, saw a considerable rise in profits last year as she accumulated a massive €1.2 million in the 12 months between June 2014 and June 2015, which represents a soar of more than €250,000 in the space of a year.
The 29-year-old is currently seeking to seal her spot at the Olympics in Rio later this year, and she is due to fight in Kazakhstan as part of the qualification process this afternoon. She recently suffered her first loss since 2011, but outside of the ring it appears that she continues to box clever as her company's profits continue to increase each year.
Her success in the ring is the main driving force behind the company according to Katie's manager Mark Devlin.
"Obviously, with Katie being so successful in the ring, it makes my job a lot easier to attract partners and sponsors. Katie has a great support network from all her family, which lets her concentrate on her boxing," said Devlin.
