Motorists are facing a long commute this evening due to significant traffic delays on the M7 in Kildare.
An accident occurred shortly after 3pm on the M7 Southbound at J10 Naas South, and the route has been severely disrupted as a result. The right lane is blocked there and traffic is at a near standstill from J8 Johnstown all the way down to the M7/M9 interchange.
That is having a knock-on effect on traffic coming out of Naas, with significant delays being experienced on the Newbridge Road coming out from the town, while traffic going through Sallins is also moving slowly this evening.
