The popular Two Cooks restaurant in Sallins has retained its Michelin status for the 2019 Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland.

The restaurant, which features delicious meals from chefs Josef Zammit and Nicola Curran, has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand accolade once again, and award which recognises those establishments that offer good food at affordable prices of EUR40 or less for a three-course meal.

Located on Canal View, TwoCooks prepare, cook and serve their food fresh everyday in order to preserve the flavour and freshness that is lost over time.

There are four newcomers on the list of 24 Bib Gourmand recipients in Ireland whose names feature in the 2019 Michelin Guide. They are Clanbrassil House (Clanbrassil Street, Dublin); Tartare Café & Wine Bar (Galway City); Brownes (Tuam) and Dillon’s (Timoleague, Cork).

Others, all of which retain Bib Gourmand status from earlier years, are 1826 Adare (Adare); Aldridge Lodge (Duncannon); Bastion (Kinsale); Chart House (Dingle); Copper Hen (Tramore); The Courthouse (Carrickmacross); Giovannelli (Killorglin); Kai (Galway City); Morrissey’s (Doonbeg) and Sha-Roe Bistro (Clonegal).

In Dublin city, Bastible (South Circular Road); Craft (Terenure); Delahunt (Camden Street); Etto (Merrion Row); Pichet (Trinity Street); Pigeon House (Clontarf); Pig’s Ear (Nassau Street); Forest & Marcy (Ranelagh) and Richmond (Portobello) retain their Bib Gourmand status.
